D Capital’s Band is a fifteen piece band, founded in August 2014. The band is quite versatile in its musical repertoire and provides a nicely diverse collection of music which includes pop, rock, jazz and swing music. The band is made up mainly of wind instruments and includes also string bass, percussion and keyboards. The majority of the band’s musicians hail from Gozo’s capital city Victoria, a…nd that’s from where the name of our band originated. The band made it’s debut on the 2nd August 2014 during the Gozo Ceramics Festival in Xlendi bay. That event kicked off myriad of appointments in Gozo and in Malta. The band participated in big events organized by the Ministry for Gozo;the Gozo Cultural Council; the Ministry for Tourism and numerous Local Councils. Gozitan vigorous conductor, George Apap is the band’s musical director.
